In a time when energy and engagement has been low in healthcare, Louisa’s talk on Positivity has been a breath of fresh air and really well received by our staff at SickKids. There are a lot of speakers who present similar topics, but the strategies and tools Louisa teaches us to employ are simple, easy to do and can be sustainable long term. Her energy is so magnetic and the authenticity she brings with her interactive events is heartfelt and real which is why her talk is so engaging.

Louisa did an excellent presentation that brought our nursing staff to tears! I received several comments that it was the best in-service we have had in years and that this should be an annual presentation to re-ground us all.

Thank you very much for bringing the positivity to our team at Sick Kids hospital. You are a skilled presenter, and your delivery and mastery of the content is very evident. The presentation was research based, with practical and easy-to-implement strategies and hit the mark in terms of what staff actually need in the current healthcare climate. Within an hour you had the team energized and motivated to spread kindness and positivity and for that I couldn't be more grateful. Truly a must see presentation!

Louisa’s presentation on Positive Psychology was super engaging from the minute she greeted the participants to her storytelling and videos and activities that were presented. Louisa has advised me and the Department of Surgery at Oakville Hospital for the past 6 years on matters of physician and caregiver wellness. She is an inspired thinker who has introduced guided imagery meditation and a variety of other peer supported techniques to ensure that healthcare providers look after their own needs as well as the needs of the patients. She led our Surgical Department Rounds on caregiver fatigue. Her guidance was also instrumental in our Canadian Journey of Surgery paper from 2019, “Burnout, resilience and moral injury: How the wicket problems of health care defy solutions, yet require innovative strategies in the modern era.” She is a forward thinker with innovative ideas on solving the problems of modern health with novel solutions.
